QR Code Generator
AADDYY’s QR Code Generator makes QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi, contact cards, email, phone, SMS and UPI payments, right in your browser. Pick colours and dot styles, add a logo, and each design is scan-checked before you download it as PNG or SVG. It’s free, with no sign-up, and nothing you type leaves your device.

Contrast 19:1: scans well.
PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. It’s turned into a plain image on this device before it goes in the middle.
How much of the code can be dirty or covered and still scan. Higher levels make denser codes.
Print it at least 2 cm wide. A 1024 px PNG prints sharply up to about 8 cm wide (300 DPI); use the SVG for anything bigger.
How it works.
Choose what to encode
Pick a type, such as Link, Wi-Fi or UPI payment, and fill in the fields. The preview updates as you type.
Style it
Choose colours, dot and corner styles and an error-correction level, and add a logo if you like. The contrast check warns when the colours are too close to scan.
Check and download
A QR reader in your browser reads each design back. Download it as a PNG of up to 2048 pixels, or as an SVG for print.
Options, explained.
- Content types
- Link opens a web page. Wi-Fi joins a network without typing the password. Contact saves a vCard to the phone. Email, Phone and SMS start a message or a call. UPI payment opens a UPI app with the payee filled in, and the amount if you set one.
- Colours
- Dark modules on a light background scan best. The contrast check warns below 4:1, and light-on-dark codes are flagged because some camera apps can’t read them.
- Error correction
- L, M, Q and H let about 7, 15, 25 or 30% of the code be dirty or covered and still scan. Higher levels make denser codes. Adding a logo switches to H.
- Logo
- PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. The logo is turned into a plain image on your device before it goes in the middle of the code, so an SVG logo can’t carry scripts or links into your file.
- PNG or SVG
- PNG from 256 to 2048 pixels for screens, documents and messages. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which suits print and design apps.
Private by design.
QR Code Generator runs entirely in your browser. What you type, including Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and payment details, is turned into a code by this tab and is never sent to a server. A logo you add is converted on your device too.
Like the rest of AADDYY, this page counts visits with analytics. The tool area is hidden from session recordings, and usage events record only counts and sizes, never what you type.

Questions.
Is this QR code generator free?
Yes. There’s no sign-up, no limit on how many codes you make and no watermark on them.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They’re static codes: the link, network or contact details are written into the pattern itself, with no redirect through AADDYY. A link code keeps working for as long as the page it points to exists.
Is what I type uploaded?
No. The code is drawn in your browser. Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and payment details stay on your device, and so does any logo you add.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Choose Wi-Fi, type the network name and password exactly as they are set on the router, and pick the security type: WPA for WPA, WPA2 and WPA2/WPA3 routers. Phones that scan the code offer to join the network without typing the password. If your router is set to WPA3 only, test the code on an Android phone: some can’t join a WPA3-only network from a code.
How do UPI payment QR codes work, and how do I avoid scams?
Enter your UPI ID (such as name@bank), the name payers should see and, if you like, an amount. Anyone who scans it with a UPI app can pay you. Scanning a UPI code can only send money: nobody needs to scan a code or enter a UPI PIN to receive money, so treat any such request as a scam.
Can I add a logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. It sits in the middle of the code and error correction switches to H, so the code still reads with part of it covered. The scan check tells you if a large logo stops it reading.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG is an image for screens, documents and messaging apps; choose 1024 pixels or more for print. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, best for printing and design tools.
Why won’t my QR code scan?
Usually the colours are too close, the code is light on dark, the logo is too large or the print is too small. Use a dark code on a light background, shrink the logo, raise error correction and print it at least 2 cm wide.
